With a career spanning over 29 years, Wayne founded his own firm, Great Lakes Benefits & Wealth Management, in 2001 with a singular focus: to provide retirees and pre-retirees with the personalized, fiduciary advice they need to secure their financial future.

My mission is to be the ‘go-to’ local resource for all things financial. I aim to empower my clients by helping them understand not just what to do, but also what mistakes to avoid as they get their financial house in order.

Wayne’s expertise is further solidified by his status as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner. This prestigious certification, often referred to as the “Gold Standard” in the financial services industry, required Wayne to complete advanced coursework in a range of financial topics including taxes, retirement planning, estate planning, investments, and risk management. When he’s not helping clients navigate their financial journeys, Wayne enjoys the great outdoors. He is an avid boater and camper, often embarking on adventures with his wife, Laura, and their three sons, Nathan, Jacob, and Jack.

Holding an active Life & Health Insurance license and serving as a notary public for Ohio, Kristin brings a unique blend of skills to our firm. She oversees a wide range of responsibilities, from handling new business and ensuring compliance to providing exceptional client services. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to both our team and our clients.

When she’s not managing the office, Kristin enjoys quality time with her family. An outdoor enthusiast, she loves camping and boating, embracing the same sense of adventure in her personal life that she brings to her professional role.

Director of First Impressions

Alicia Biddlecombe is more than just our Director of First Impressions; she’s the friendly face that greets you when you walk through our doors. Since joining Great Lakes Benefits & Wealth Management in January 2020, Alicia has been an integral part of our team, ensuring that every client feels welcomed and valued from the moment they step into our office.

Working closely with Kristin, our Executive Assistant, Alicia assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the office. Her responsibilities range from greeting clients and answering phones to scheduling appointments and preparing client files. She also handles mailing correspondence and maintains the office, ensuring that everything is in its place for a seamless client experience.

When she’s not in the office creating a welcoming environment for our clients, Alicia is a devoted mom to her three boys, who keep her life full of energy and joy. Her commitment to family mirrors the values we hold dear at Great Lakes Benefits & Wealth Management, making her a perfect fit for our team.
